Al-Hikam - The Wisdoms, the Epistles and the Asides of Imam Ibn 'Atâ Allah As-Sakandarî published by Tawhid was translated from Arabic by Mohamed Benchili according to the commentary of 'Abd Al-Majîd Ash-SHarnûbî. It is the most famous work of Imam Ibn 'Atâ Allah As-Sakandarî.

Moreover, one of the first exegetes of the Hikam, Ibn Abbâd A Randi, declares: "They are among the best works dealing with the dogma of Oneness. They are the collection to which every itinerant and aspirant must refer, both for the understanding, as for assiduity to the precepts. Certainly, it is small in its volume, great in its knowledge." Another of his exegetes, Shaykh Zarrûq, declares: All [wisdoms] are correlated with each other. Each of its premises is an introduction to the next and a commentary on the previous one. Exegetes distinguish at least three themes in the Hikam, the oneness of Allah and the condition of man; submission of the body and purification of the spirit; recommendations for the aspirant and the itinerant.

The editors and exegetes of the Hikam customarily add two other writings by Ibn Atâ: the Epistles and the Aparthes. The Epistles are letters that he addresses to brothers in religion and in which he promulgates certain truths and recommendations. As for the Asides, these are monologues in which he reveals to his Lord his states of mind, and expresses to Him his concerns and hopes.
