Aicha, the truthful, daughter of the truthful -may Allah be pleased with them both-

The Noble Quran reveals to us the story of the slander in Surah “An-Nûr”, relating the facts in detail, and proclaiming the innocence of “icha – may Allah be pleased with her” of all that she endured. as injustices and moral harm.

This event revealed the merit of ''icha. Indeed, Allah cleared him of this slander with verses that are read until the Day of Resurrection; verses by reading which Muslims worship their Lord, like this one:

(Those who came with slander are a group of you) [An-Nûr:11]. Thus the rank of ''icha - may Allah be pleased with him - became all the more eminent because Allah Himself declared his innocence.

Moreover, this test confirmed the obligation to ensure the veracity of words before spreading them, in order not to fall into lies and injustice, and in order not to become the cause of the propagation of rumors and turpitude. Regarding this, Allah says: (And why did you not say, when you heard it: We should not talk about it. Glory to You [O Allah]. This is a huge slander) [An-Nûr :16]
