For each of the verses cited, the author reports one or more hadiths, explaining the cause of its revelation by mentioning its chain of transmitter, its source, then, after quoting it, he explains the reasons which make an authentic hadith. Technical, abstruse terms, revealing the science of hadith terminology which, in truth, only interests specialists and other students of theology.

Knowing the cause of the revelation of a verse helps in understanding it. Indeed, the companions experienced difficulty in understanding certain verses, until the day they learned of the causes of their revelation. Thus the verse: "Do not run to your destruction" posed problems to the companions until the moment when they were informed by Abu Ayyoub Al-Ansarî of the cause of its revelation [...] The meaning of the verse then appeared clearly to them.
