The book al-shamâ'il of Imam at-Tirmidhî is a masterful work and a blessed work concerning one of the noblest and most sublime themes, it is the morality of our noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, of his magnificent features, his dazzling description, his eminent behavior, his masterful ethics and his remarkable attitudes, may the prayers of Allah and His salvation be upon him.

It is a book which brings together the qualities of the best and most beloved of the servants of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, His close friend and His chosen one, the one whose worship was the most perfect, whose behavior was the purest and the most beautiful attitude, whose knowledge of Allah was the greatest, the one who best realized His servitude. Allah chose him to be His ambassador among His servants and His intermediary to guide people to goodness and call them to righteousness. He chose him from among the best humans whose lineage was the noblest and particularly granted him the most perfect human qualities in beauty and morality. He gave him a sublime attitude, a dazzling appearance, a beautiful face and high qualities. He specifically gave him the most accomplished traits, the most sublime ethics and the healthiest decorum. He made him an example for the worlds and a model for all the servants of Allah.
