This is the explanation by Sheikh 'Abder-Razzaq Al-Badr -may Allah preserve him- of the hadîth of Umm Salamah -may Allah be pleased with him- whose meaning is:

"O Allah! I ask you for beneficial knowledge and good sustenance and accepted action."

Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Mâjah and others.

If you meditate - dear brother, dear sister - this invocation that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ repeated regularly, every day after praying the Sobh prayer, you will understand that this invocation is said at a time, at a moment which is appropriate.

Because As-Sobh (the morning prayer): it is the first fruits of the day and what the day begins with.

And how important it is that the Muslim begins his day by turning to Allah so that Allah grants him these three things:

1. Beneficial science

2. Good livelihood

3. Virtuous action or accepted action

If you meditate on this, if you think about these three things you will find that these are the goals that the Muslim sets for himself every day; because the daily goals of the Muslim are three in number:

1- Beneficial science

2- Good subsistence

3- Virtuous action
